# Computers

> See which computers share files with your workspace, what each holds, and how to restart or remove one.

A computer here means a device running the TiDani desktop app that shares files. Open **Workspace**, then **Computers**.

## What you can see

- All computers that share files with your workspace.
- Whether each is online.
- **What it holds**, as counts of file types. You see counts only. File names and folders stay on the computer.
- A log of what a computer is doing. An offline computer has no live log until it is back.

## Computer names

People see a computer's name beside answers that come from its files. Each person has one computer in a workspace. You can change a description to help people tell them apart.

## Restart or remove

1. Pick the computer.
2. **Restart** reconnects it to the workspace.
3. **Remove** (admins only) stops it answering questions and means it can no longer connect to the workspace. Its files stay on the computer. Nothing is deleted there.

## Add a computer to a team

Teams decide who can ask which computers. Add a computer under the team's page. See [people and teams](/docs/people-and-teams).

## Set up a new computer

Install the [desktop app](/docs/install-and-sign-in) on it and [share a folder](/docs/share-a-folder). Sharing needs the desktop app: the browser cannot do it.
