# People and teams

> Admins invite people, give them a role and access level, and group them into teams that share computers.

Open **Workspace** to manage who is in your workspace. People and teams are for admins.

## Roles

Each person has one role in the workspace:

- **Member** asks questions and sees their own history.
- **Admin** also manages people, teams, computers, access rules and analytics.

## Access level

Each person also has a level, such as A or C. It decides which files they can read. See [access levels](/docs/access-levels). You can only give a level up to your own.

## Change or remove someone

1. Open **Workspace**, then **People**.
2. Pick a person and change their role or level, or remove them.
3. Removed people can be seen again with **See recently removed people**.

## Teams

A team groups people and the computers they share. Questions from a team's people go to the computers in that team.

1. Create a team under **Workspace** and give it a name.
2. Add people. Each person has a team role:
   - **Member** and **Lead** can ask questions.
   - **Manager** can also add and remove people.
   - **Team admin** manages the whole team.
3. Add computers to the team, so its people can ask them.
4. Teams can sit inside other teams. Choose a parent, or "Nothing (top level)".
5. A computer can be shared with another team using **Share with another team**.

Everyone in the workspace sees only what their team and level allow.
