Using TiDani

Answers and sources

Every answer lists the documents it came from. Learn how to check them and what to do when an answer looks wrong.

Updated 4 November 2026

TiDani answers from your team’s files, and it shows which files it used. Always check the sources for anything important.

Read the sources

  1. Under an answer, find the list of documents it used.
  2. Note the file names, and which computer they came from.
  3. Open the file and compare it with the answer. If they disagree, trust the file.

People see the name of a computer beside answers that come from its files, so you know where an answer came from.

When an answer looks wrong

  • Ask again with more detail. Name the project, the date or the document type.
  • Try deep search. It follows up on what it finds and is more thorough, but slower.
  • Check that the files are shared. A file that was added recently may still be reading. Ask whoever owns the computer to use Read changed files now.
  • Check access. TiDani only uses files you are allowed to read. See access levels.

If an answer did not finish

You may see “That answer didn’t finish”. Check your connection and ask again.
