TiDani has a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux, and a version that runs in your browser. Use the desktop app on any computer whose files you want to share. The browser version can ask questions, but it cannot share a computer’s folders.
Install the desktop app
- Open the download page and pick your system.
- Run the installer. On Linux you can also use this command:
[INSTALL COMMAND] - Open TiDani.
Sign in or create an account
- Choose Sign up, or Sign in if you already have an account.
- Use your email and a password, or choose Google.
- If you forget your password, choose the reset link. We email you a code to confirm it is you, then you pick a new password. This also works if you signed in with Google.
Set up your workspace
A workspace is the shared space for your team. It holds your people, your computers and your settings.
- Give the workspace a name. Most people use their company name. Others see it when they join.
- Give this computer a name your team will recognise. People see it beside answers that come from its files. Each person has one computer in a workspace.
- Wait while TiDani gets ready to share. The first start can take a few minutes.
Joining a team that already uses TiDani? Choose I have an invite link and paste the link from your invitation. You join the existing workspace instead of making a new one. If the link says it is used or replaced, ask whoever invited you to send it again.
Next: share a folder.
